Quick Get-Away to Dallas

Our travels continued this spring and my Mom and I joined Claire and my Dad on their work conference to Dallas. As a content creator, I am always eager to travel and share my outings with all of you. What started as a get-away with Claire and my Dad turned into a really fun and busy work trip for me! Our trip included exploring the city, fun restaurants, shopping, a tour of the Like to Know It office space, and an amazing Meet & Greet event at Lele Sadoughi.
Upon arrival, we dropped Claire and my Dad at their conference and checked into the lovely Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. My Mom and I changed and went to dinner at the nearby Bowen House. The historic house was built in the 1880's and after quite a history, is now a quaint restaurant and bar.

The next day, while Claire and my Dad were at their conference, my Mom and I were invited to tour the LiketoKnowIt (LTK) headquarters. LTK is a social media app that makes each posts shoppable. I use LTK to link items you see in on my instagram and YouTube and I am so grateful that many of you follow me on my LTK account.

The space was spectacular and it was really an honor and a thrill to see. Hannah works at LTK and has been a follower of mine and reached out to invite us to tour the space. Hannah was delightful and it was so kind of her to take the time to give us a tour of the amazing space. We took a bunch of photos, met some of her co-workers and we left with adorable LTK gift bags from Hannah!

About a week before our trip, a follower suggested I host a meet and greet in Dallas with an influencer from Dallas that I follow named Louise Montgomery. Louise and I worked with the store manager at Lele Sadoughi at Highland Park Village and quickly coordinated a 5:00-7:00 event. After our LTK tour, we stopped in at the Lele Sadoughi store to meet the manager and see the shop. We ate a delightful lunch at Sadelle's in the Highland Park Village shopping center.
We drove around Dallas and explored the rest of the afternoon - Southern Methodist University has a pretty campus to drive around if you are in the area. We have toured the George Bush Presidential Library before and the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is interesting. The Dealey Plaza is the building where President Kennedy was shot. La La Land coffee on Bell Avenue is a cute coffee shop and we stopped there for an afternoon pick me up.
We stopped in at Swoozies, one of our favorite stores if you are looking for a cute party shop. Another favorite is Caitlin Wilson Design. The shop is beautiful and we found a variety of things there for our home.
My Mom and I had a photo shoot and then enjoyed a delightful dinner in the hotel bar. The bartender made us delicious Hugo Spritzes, which we have been wanting to try since Claire and Connor had them in Italy. It was a great end to a delightful day.
The following morning my Dad flew to LA after the conference. We picked up Claire and had our hair done at Dry Bar before having a delicious lunch at Bird Bakery. The three of us went to Avara, which is a clothing store in a little house. It was full of shoppers and we found so many cute dresses, tops and an adorable jumpsuit. We have ordered from Avara online, but it was a little adventure to find the shop and worth the stop.
We stopped in Sadelle's for a little afternoon coffee before heading back to the hotel to get ready for the Meet & Greet.

What a great evening and such a successful Meet & Greet! It was a pleasure to be with Louise and to spend the evening talking with so many wonderful followers who took the time to visit the Lele Sadoughi store! We had visitors travel from Arkansas and Oklahoma to say hello! Claire, my Mom and I had a blast laughing and chatting with so many delightful people. I am very appreciative for the store managers for promoting and hosting the event. The owner of the store, Lele Sadoughi, lives in Dallas and took the time to stop and say hello.

A GREAT NIGHT WITH LELE SADOUGHI AND LOUISE MONTGOMERY!

The three of us spent the final evening in the hotel bar having a little dinner and basking in the success of the Meet & Greet and our time in Dallas.
